The project includes 27 private houses of 4 different types, with a surface of 270, 300, 340 and 370 sq.mt. The area is surrounded by a canal which touches most of the lots, enhancing the quality of the landscaping. Also the houses have been designed taking in account the presence of the water. In plan and elevation they show the intention of opening up towards the canal and the garden, being narrower on the street side and widening on the garden side. The elevations and the choice of materials (wooden cladding, coloured plaster, natural stone) respond to the intention of giving a feeling of warmth and protection, but also of individuality and variety. For this reason the four building types are quite different from each other and are placed in a way that avoids the repetition of the same house on neighbouring lots. The distance of the buildings from the street varies in order to create a feeling of movement. The plan of the houses shows unconventional shapes of the rooms, according to the idea of creating more lively, individual and dynamic spaces adapted to their functions.
