The main, difficult task was to satisfy two very different personalities (husband and wife) with one design solution. The husband wanted a house surrounded by a Japanese garden with a large, beautiful pond and a lot of original Japanese plants. It was also important to provide a large study room, a home theatre, and to take into consideration the owner’s love for fishing, hunting and home-cooked cuisine, for which a Russian stove was required. For the houselady it was important to have a terrace for sunbathing and large stained-glass windows typical of modern houses. The main challenge was to combine all these wishes and give the customers the feeling that this is their home.
